Please stand still when you see a ghost filtering through the forest, shadows between trees, even floating, let them pass, heading to the city…..as the ghost of Christmas past, and hopefully not of the future. So last night was just like many other nights I have had over the years, sleepless. I could not shake this weird energy, that kind of felt like anxiety almost. Even though my husband was asleep next to me , I had a different kind of company in my area. I never really can pinpoint where it or they are, so that is something I am hoping to learn to do. Anyways, then I start getting weird images in my mind about what it is that is near. Sometimes it is the spirit of someone, sometimes it is angels, ancestors, guides, and sometimes it is the darker stuff. At least I can decipher which, since each brings a significant different energy. They continue to just lurk until I pray, or surround myself with white light, or I have to literally sit up out of bed and tell them to go away out loud. Talk about feeling like a nutcase, there I am talking to something that is not but is there! The thing I noticed is that they usually listen and by some law or something it is like they have to leave if you tell them too.
What is it about the dark that brings them out, or is it just because in the dark things are quieter and our senses are heightened? Have any of you had experiences such as these? If so, how do you deal with it? I will be honest, it seems like bad timing, and I get annoyed because I just want to go to sleep in peace. Let me know, or better yet share your experiences.
Thank you and peace be with you,
S.Navarro
So, the one thing I struggle with is the night time. I feel like my senses are heightened for whatever reason. At night in my house my bedroom is downstairs and my kids’s room is upstairs. During the night especially, I also hear it during the day, but at night I can always hear what sounds like little kid footsteps through the house. I can not tell you how many times I have waited to see if one of my kids was going to pop their little heads in the door, only to have no one show up. Then I get out of bed to see which one of them is creeping around the house at night, and of course all 3 are sound asleep in their beds. A quick shiver runs down my spine as I start investigating around the house to make sure there are no trespassers or burglars, only to find that nope, the coast is clear. Then like clock work, I walk down stairs to my room and lay down, and the little footsteps start again. This has gone one for YEARS! I am now to the point of curiosity, because I figure whatever it is, it is not really aware of us or doesn’t seem to mind us much, just the same routine every day. Although I have come to terms with this particular experience, there have been times when the noise is so prominent that I thought someone had broken in or was almost 100% positive someone was in the house other then myself, or us. See, I work night shift as a nurse and so during the day I am at home a lot by myself. So when I hear this it really spooks me out!! I have even grabbed my firearm and called out sure that someone was in the house! Investigate, and nope, no one home but me and these weird noises. There have also been situations where I was pretty sure I heard talking, voices, and sometimes like two people talking to each other. NO, I am not the only one in the house who experiences these things, I am probably just the one more vocal about it. The kids each have their own stories, and we have lived like this for so long that I am not sure they are very scared of it anymore. Every now and then I end up with a bed occupied by the entire family because, ” mommy, something woke me up.”, or ” I heard someone say my name.”, and even they complain about dreams they have that they say seem really happening. My husband, who is more on the side of skeptic, has told me of a few incidents where some things happened even he could not deny or explain. He is so much better at tuning it out then I. I actually may start a blog on how men are so good at tuning things out.
Well, anyway this is my second post, and like I said in my original, I am just putting my experiences out there to see if anyone can relate, or help me figure out what may be going on around me. Have you ever had something so significant happen that it stays with you as ” I really can not explain this!”, if so I would love to read your story! These experiences through my life have really sparked something in me that this is a subject I really want understand and become more knowledgeable about. I watch so many paranormal shows, and research to try to find an understanding. Maybe someday if I can learn to move Above the fear of the paranormal I can start my own research group. The fear of not understanding what I am looking for or what I might find is what holds me back.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
